Barry E. Brower, DVM, DACVS-SA

As a board-certified veterinary surgeon, Dr. Brower has completed years of advanced specialty training beyond veterinary school. His experience allows him to manage a wide range of complex surgical cases while working closely with primary care veterinarians to ensure seamless, collaborative care before, during, and after surgery. He believes that clear communication is an essential part of the surgical experience. Dr. Brower takes the time to explain each diagnosis, discuss treatment options, and answer questions so that pet owners feel informed, supported, and confident in the care their pets receive. He understands that surgery can be stressful for families and strives to make the process as comfortable and reassuring as possible.

Dr. Barry Brower is a board-certified small animal surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care for dogs and cats. With advanced training in orthopedic, soft tissue, and oncologic surgery, he is committed to combining the latest surgical techniques with compassionate and individualized care for every patient. After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University in 2011, Dr. Brower completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, California, followed by a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. He then completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2018.
